Hi there! I'm Maya, a woman who has enough passion and chutzpah to light up an entire city block. I hail from the Bronx, but grew up in New Jersey, so you could say I've got the best of both worlds.

As a Teach for America corps member, I discovered my passion for teaching. I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve incredible things, and it starts with supporting our most vulnerable communities. Building equality and equity is at the forefront of my mind, and I am always looking for ways to make a positive impact.

My interests don't stop there. I have experience in urban planning and design, where I learned about the importance of public participation. As a stylist and editor in the fashion industry, I understand the power of self-expression and creativity.

When I'm not working, I'm a holistic health nut. I'm passionate about taking care of my mind, body, and spirit. And of course, I love to make memories with my friends and explore new places through travel.

Overall, I'm a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it with gusto. I'm excited to see where my passions will take me next and I'm always up for a new challenge.
